MeCaso is a marketplace connecting couples with wedding vendors, part of the Sparken product ecosystem. I build and maintain the platform end to end: front ends with React and Next.js (TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query), Java microservices with Spring Boot backed by PostgreSQL, Redis and Kafka messaging, and cloud infrastructure on AWS managed with Terraform, with CI/CD quality gates across the whole product.

Planning a wedding means finding and trusting a dozen vendors at once, and most of that market still runs on word of mouth. MeCaso structures it: couples browse vendors, compare services and book from a single place. The platform shares its engineering foundations with the rest of the Sparken ecosystem: React and Next.js front ends written in TypeScript with TailwindCSS, Redux Toolkit and TanStack Query, Java microservices on Spring Boot with PostgreSQL and Redis behind the API, Kafka messaging between services, and AWS infrastructure managed with Terraform. Marketing landings across the ecosystem ship on Astro, keeping the acquisition pages as fast as the product itself.

David Gavilanez, team lead and Senior Full-Stack Developer at Sparken, builds and maintains MeCaso end to end and acts as technical mentor for its team. Every release passes the same CI/CD quality gates used across Sparken products, SonarQube with Cypress, Testing Library and Jest, and the shared TailwindCSS component library, documented in Storybook, keeps the interface consistent. That standardised pipeline is what lets a small team run several products without losing speed or quality. He also presents the product, its technology and its benefits to clients and the market as part of Sparken's outreach.
